August poetry and song (and cocktails!)...
Next month Aldermaston Women’s Peace Camp are holding an afternoon and
evening of poetry and song, followed by cocktails during our August camp,
We will have our usual camp set up for the whole weekend and all women are
welcome to come for as long or short a time as they want.
The poetry and cocktails are planned for the Saturday afternoon and evening.
We encourage women to bring poems, songs, musical instruments for an informal

Where to find us:
Our camp is currently being set up monthly on the western side of AWE. It
is just off the A340 which runs between Aldermaston village and Tadley
next to the roundabout at A340/Citadel Gate, opposite Youngs Industrial
Estate, postcode RG7 4PW.
Look out for banners, flags and vehicles parked near the gate. The camp is
slightly hidden as it’s down a slight hill to the left of the gate behind
a section of redundant chain link fence.
Nearest train stations: Aldermaston or Theale via Reading or Mortimer via
By bus: number 148 from Reading station to Tadley; from Newbury, number
105 to Tadley or Aldermaston.
By bike: from nearest railway stations at Aldermaston, Theale or Mortimer
(ask for directions to Tadley or see map) Reading/Basingstoke.
From the east: from M4, junction 12, follow signs for A4, Newbury; after
approximately six miles, take first left at roundabout signed A340,
Aldermaston; continue through Aldermaston Wharf and Aldermaston village,
until you see the fence on your left hand side.
From the west: from M4, junction 13, follow signs for A4 Reading; after
approximately six miles,after approximately 10 miles, take 2nd exit
(right) on roundabout for A340 (and then as above).
From the south: from M3, junction 9, follow signs for Basingstoke, A339
Ringway and then A340 to Tadley.
